Babywearing Safety
We love baby wearing, and is a safe way to carry your baby when following the instructions and safety information. On this page you will find babywearing T.I.C.K.S and ABC's as well as a more detailed write up of things to pay attention to while carrying to ensure safe carrying at all times.
FORWARD FACING SAFETY INFORMATION
If you are using a carrier for forward facing, there are a couple of additional things to take into consideration
1. Make sure baby is big enough for this position. The carrier panel should not cover babys face at all
2. Make sure baby has sustainable head control for the whole time they are facing forward.
3. Make sure baby does NOT fall asleep in this position. If they do, with their head being the heaviest part of their body, there is a risk of their chin lolling onto their chest.
4. Check in with your back often in this position. Even in the best ergonomic designed carriers, this position will always put more strain on your back.
