It’s almost Christmas!! Woohoo! Here’s a roundup of some amazing babywearing gifts...to leave out/print/email as a big fat hint for your nearest and dearest or to help you spend your Christmas pennies (or if you’re the husband of a babywearing consultant who also writes this blog...) from practical to beautiful, budget to high end, newborn picks all the way through to end of babywearing days. Happy Christmas!

1. Well a babywearing gift list has to start with a wrap, right? How can you choose a wrap???? I love so many, and so many companies make wonderful wraps. I have recently fallen for Kindsknopf. I tried some on at a Wrap Show and they were so soft and so smooshy. And they’ve just teased on their social media a wrap which is glittery and rainbow-y!!!! www.kindsknopf.at/en/

Another top pick is the new Firespiral purple birch trees release, quite stunning - heads up these are being launched today! (8th dec) www.firespiralslings.co.uk/all-wraps/woven-wraps.html

2. Zensling - this one is for new parents. If a wrap isn’t your cup of tea, then try this buckle carrier. Made from jersey cotton, easily and newborn friendly adjustable, this is one of my most favourite carriers! mamaruga.com/our-products/zensling/

3. Wrap scrap bag, what a wonderful way of marking your babywearing journey, and who doesn’t love a beautiful handbag!? Check out Taylor’s bags, her work is quite exquisite. Mixing wrap scrap fabric and leather, these bags are no ordinary “mum bags”. (She also makes ring slings and more too!) I’m saving a piece of wrap for one of these! www.taylorsbags.co.uk

4. Oak wren cloak - when I’ve finished babywearing this is what I dream of having done with my favourite star map wrap. Oak Wren Studio creates the most wonderful cloaks and capes using wraps! (Use your own for sentimental value or they have “in stock” options too). www.oakwren.com

5. Sling mirror, everyone needs one of these! Birds beautiful bits, a super helpful lady, creates these awesome sling mirrors which attach to your wrap or buckle carrier allowing you to see your baby on your back easily! And with a great selection of wrap scraps you can coordinate with your wrap or carrier! No more looking in car windows to see how baby on your back is doing. www.facebook.com/BirdsBeautifulBits/

6. Photo shoot - what better way to celebrate the wonderful journey of babywearing than with a photo shoot capturing some of those precious moments? Sarah Everett specialises in natural photo shoots and is a babywearer herself. She has photographed some truly wonderful babywearing moments. Book here... http://www.saraheverettphotography.co.uk/babywearing/

7. Babywearing portrait - to help you remember and celebrate all those wonderful babywearing days. I’m wishing hard for one of these stunning illustrations by the fabulous and oh so talented Joanna Howell. Prices start at a very reasonable £60 and they truly are excellent works of art. www.facebook.com/joannadraws/

8. Scrap necklace - scrapadoodle a necklace just for you! A delicate pendant made using a favourite piece of wrap fabric. Just as soon as Anna can be trusted around nice things I’m ordering! www.facebook.com/ScrapdoodleUK/

9. Wrap scarf - firespiral/Oscha/Baie. I love love love my fispi scarf so much. It’s essentially a mini wrap and it is an effortless way of adding glamour, keeps you connected to babywearing and your favourite wrap patterns!

10. Joy and joe bamboo stretchy. Another pick for new parents, this would make an excellent gift to give for winter newborns. Joy And Joe have recently released a really special organic bamboo stretchy wrap, absolutely ideal for squishy babies. They come in a variety of lovely colours, all with a matching hat and are just perfect for putting a tiny baby into. www.joyandjoebaby.com

11. Wrap blanket - this is another bigger item which is defiantly on my Christmas list. I love a good blanket and these wrap pattern design blankets from Oscha have me saying “just take my money!” www.oschaslings.com/en/shop/baby-carrying/throws

12. And finally, Gin and cake. Well babywearing means you have children, so seriously, Gin and cake. Cake for while the baby is alseep peacefully in the sling. Gin for later.

Merry Christmas!
